Job Description

As the Chief Data Officer, you will lead the company’s data strategy, architecture, and commercialization, ensuring data assets become a core competitive advantage. You will build efficient and compliant data systems, drive the application of generative AI across diverse scenarios, and contribute directly to the company’s long-term direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s data strategy, aligning closely with business goals to drive market adoption of generative AI products.

• Establish and optimize data governance, security, and compliance frameworks in line with Hong Kong and international standards (including the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance).

• Lead the data team across data science, engineering, analytics, and management, enhancing technical and business collaboration.

• Work closely with technology, product, and marketing departments to unlock data value and develop innovative data solutions and business models.

• Drive data-related partnerships and external resource integration to foster a robust data ecosystem.

• Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure ethical and legal compliance in data practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in data management, analytics, or AI, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.

• Combined startup and corporate experience: hands-on experience building data systems from 0 to 1 in a startup environment, coupled with large-scale data governance and commercialization expertise in established companies.

• Deep practical knowledge in generative AI, machine learning, or big data, with familiarity in modern data architectures and tools.

• Excellent leadership and team-building skills, capable of driving change and innovation in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication skills in English and Chinese, adaptable to cross-cultural and cross-functional collaboration.

• Establish and optimize data governance, security and compliance frameworks, in accordance with Hong Kong and international standards (including the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance).

• Lead data-related partner relationships and external resource integration, driving data ecosystem construction.

• Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure that the company's data practices comply with ethical and legal requirements.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above, computer science, data science, business analysis or related fields are preferred.

• At least 10 years of data management, analysis or AI-related experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management position.

• In-depth practical experience in generative AI, machine learning or big data, familiar with modern data architectures and tools.

• Excellent leadership and team building skills, good at driving change and innovation in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent Chinese and English communication skills, able to adapt to cross-cultural and cross-departmental collaboration.
