About the Role

The QA Director is responsible for managing the QA/QC program and teams across Asia and other regions. This role involves close collaboration with team leaders, vendors, and factories, ensuring alignment with the EVP of Product Integrity and Production teams in New York.

Key Responsibilities

• Report to the Business Line Director.

• Oversee the global management of the QA/QC program in coordination with the management team in US.

• Recruit, develop, and lead QA/QC teams for effective program implementation.

• Train and support QA/QC team leaders in key sourcing countries.

• Ensure strict adherence to the 7-step QA/QC process and communication protocols.

• Report on defined KPIs reflecting monthly program activities.

• Collaborate with the QA/QC technical manager to enhance program manuals and operational documents.

• Ensure accuracy in invoicing based on team data aligned with contract agreements.

• Maintain effective communication with executive management and stakeholders.

• Build strong relationships with local agents, vendors, and factories.

• Conduct analyses (financial, strategic, operational) as needed.

• Ensure all client requirements are met.

• Perform annual performance reviews and manage client satisfaction.

• Engage in M&A projects related to QA/QC services as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Quality management, Business, or related fields.

• Minimum of 10 years in manufacturing apparel, softline, or footwear for major brands or retailers.

• At least 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance and operations management in Asia or similar regions.

• Proven leadership in Quality Assurance and Quality Control services in a production environment.

• Experience managing supply chain quality assurance for retail or brand businesses.

• Experience managing a regional business unit and workforce remotely.

• Ability to motivate and influence a business culture that supports growth.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Results-oriented with strong presentation and public speaking skills.

• Fluent in written and spoken English.

• Willingness to travel, including overnight stays in Italy and occasional international travel
