Farmacy HK is seeking an enthusiastic and experiencedEducation Specialistto join our growing Education Division. This role focuses on delivering impactful educational programs that integrate smart farming technology, STEM, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and green skills into school curricula and community initiatives. Reporting to the Education Lead/Program Manager, you will design, implement, and facilitate hands-on learning experiences using Farmacy’s innovative Smart Mobile Farms and cloud-based systems in schools and educational settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging educational programs, workshops, and activities (e.g., Smart Farm Lab setups, Grow for Future cross-curricular modules, Smart Tech Education sessions, Positive Education initiatives, and student-led green workshops) aligned with Farmacy’s mission to empower future generations with sustainable urban farming knowledge.

• Collaborate with schools, educational institutions, and partners to integrate Farmacy’s smart farming technologies into classroom learning, including IoT applications, data analytics, AI in agriculture, and hands-on hydroponic/aeroponic farming.

• Facilitate student-centered sessions for primary and secondary students, focusing on practical skills such as growing produce onsite, understanding environmental impact (e.g., reducing food waste, carbon emissions, and water use), entrepreneurship (e.g., running mini social enterprises), and UN Sustainable Development Goals/ESG principles.

• Design lesson plans, teaching materials, interactive activities, assessments, and parent/teacher communication resources to enhance student engagement, participation, and learning outcomes in sustainability and agri-tech topics.

• Support school-based Smart Farm Lab operations, including setup guidance, ongoing maintenance training for teachers/students, monitoring program progress, and collecting data on educational impact (e.g., student hours, produce harvested, community donations).

• Organize and lead student-led initiatives, such as urban farming workshops for underprivileged communities, farm tours, resource donations, and community partnerships to foster real-world application and social impact.

• Conduct assessments, provide feedback to students/participants, and maintain strong communication with educators, parents, and school administrators to ensure program success and continuous improvement.

• Participate in internal team collaboration, teaching research, open sessions, and program evaluation to contribute to Farmacy’s education portfolio growth.

• Track and report on key metrics, such as number of students reached, farm-tech learning hours, and sustainability outcomes, to support funding, awards, and impact reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English/Teaching Methodology, Environmental Studies, STEM-related field, or a relevant discipline (Bachelor of Management with strong English/education focus preferred).

• Proven experience as an English Teacher or Instructor in primary/early education settings (minimum 3–5 years), with a track record of lesson planning, classroom management, student engagement, and parent communication.

• Experience in bilingual or cross-cultural education environments is highly desirable; familiarity with activity-based, hands-on, or project-based learning approaches.

• Passion for sustainability, urban farming, green living, or environmental education; prior exposure to STEM, IoT, AI, or agri-tech topics is a strong advantage.

• Excellent English proficiency (fluent in speaking, writing, and business communication); native-level Mandarin is a plus for engaging diverse stakeholders in Hong Kong.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to work with children/students, teachers, parents, and cross-functional teams.

• Patient, responsible, adaptable, and team-oriented, with a result-driven mindset and enthusiasm for social impact initiatives.

• Willingness to travel to partner schools/institutions across Hong Kong and participate in outdoor/community activities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in early childhood bilingual programs, primary English teaching, or organizing parent-child/community events.

• Background in e-commerce/customer service (transferable skills in client/parent engagement and follow-up).

• Interest in or knowledge of hydroponics, smart farming, or related technologies.
