Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented German Translator (Project Based) to join our growing team. You will play a key role in translating, localizing, and ensuring high-quality German-language content across various materials including marketing, technical documents, websites, apps, legal texts, and more.
Responsibilities:
Translate a wide range of content from English (and possibly other languages) into native German
Localize content to ensure it resonates culturally with German-speaking audiences (Germany, Austria, Switzerland)
Review, edit, and proofread translations for accuracy, fluency, and consistency
Work with CAT tools (MemoQ, Trados, Phrase, etc.) and translation management systems
Collaborate with marketing, product, and legal teams to maintain brand voice and terminology
Maintain and update company glossaries and style guides
Meet tight deadlines while maintaining excellent quality standards
Requirements:
Native or near-native proficiency in German (preferably from Germany, Austria, or Switzerland)
Excellent command of English (C1/C2 level or higher)
Proven experience as a professional translator (minimum 2–3 years)
Degree in Translation, Linguistics, German Studies, or a related field (preferred)
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
