Job Description

Responsibilities:

• To prepare technical drawings and printing specifications for facilitating procurement exercises of both 3D and 2D production works;

• To create 3D models and photorealistic rendering from gallery plans and rough sketches;

• To carry out on-site monitoring of fabrication works in thematic galleries;

• To discuss with subject curators/designers for determining 3D design requirements and modification to design composition;

• To conduct on-site inspection to the indoor and outdoor displays and maintenance works in permanent galleries and the branch museums;

• To carry out instant back & forth checking of colour tone against various colour matching systems for output accuracy;

• To edit, retouch and manipulate digitised images for exhibition presentations and publicity uses;

• To prepare visual contents and coordinate the installation works of multi-media and interactive displays;

• To keep in schedules and be responsible for production/ printing process as well as to monitor the quality control of various outputs and delivery schedule;

• To archive all digital files upon completion of design works for record purpose and to compile different files to prepare exhibition portfolios;

• To perform other duties assigned by supervisors.

Qualification Requirements:

• A Holder of Bachelor’s degree in design, preferably in exhibition design and interior design (full-time)

• At least five year full-time relevant working experience in exhibition and event design

• Experience in museums or cultural institutions is highly preferable

• Proficiency in Macintosh, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, etc.

• Specialised proficiency in SketchUp Pro, V-Ray, 3Ds max and AutoCAD etc, is highly preferable

• Experience in desktop publishing

• Good command of Chinese and English

• Creative, self-motivated and with good communication skill

• Mature, able to work independently and under pressure

• A permanent resident of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region
