Job Description
- Responsible for teaching related subjects in secondary school high school stage (Grade Four to Grade Six), including classroom teaching, homework grading, quizzes and exams evaluation, etc., ensuring teaching progress and curriculum framework consistency.
- Design appropriate teaching plans and learning materials, taking into account students’ learning abilities, interests and diverse needs, and promoting interactive, inquiry-based and interdisciplinary learning activities.
- Participate in school-based curriculum development, teaching materials writing and teaching research, in line with the school's educational philosophy and development direction, and enhance overall teaching quality and student learning outcomes.
- Serve as a class teacher or guidance counselor, pay attention to students’ academic performance, emotional health and personal growth, and provide timely support and career planning guidance.
- Actively participate in teacher professional development activities, school and extracurricular academic meetings, public observation lessons and educational exchanges, and continuously improve education professional skills and educational sensitivity.
- Holding a Hong Kong Education Bureau recognized teaching qualification (such as PGDE, BEd or equivalent academic qualifications), and registered as a certified teacher or provisional teacher; those with major or minor background in relevant subjects (such as Chinese, English, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, history, economics, geography, etc.) are preferred.
- Have three or more years of teaching experience in local secondary schools, familiar with the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) curriculum framework, assessment requirements and preparation strategies, and able to effectively enhance students’ test-taking skills and disciplinary literacy.
- Have practical experience in integrating information and communication technology (ICT) into teaching (IT in Education), and be familiar with electronic teaching platforms, multimedia tools and data analysis methods to support learning and teaching.
