Job Title: IT Manager/ Senior Information Technology Officer, Registry Services

Position Summary

To assist in planning, development, and maintenance of IT systems while overseeing daily share registration operations. This role acts as a bridge between technical solutions and business needs, managing critical projects such as the Uncertificated Securities Market (USM) transition and ensuring smooth execution of client corporate actions.

Core Responsibilities

1. IT System Planning & Development

System Architecture & Solution Design: Analyse business needs to design, implement, and deploy effective IT solutions. Review existing operations to propose and execute automation and streamlining initiatives.

Continuous Improvement: Research and adopt new technologies to enhance operational efficiency. Provide patches and enhancements for existing systems.

Documentation & Training: Prepare comprehensive system documentation and conduct user training for new systems and features.

2. USM (Uncertificated Securities Market) Implementation

Project Management: Review and monitor the design and development of the USM system to ensure compliance with market requirements.

Stakeholder Management: Represent the company in technical meetings with HKEX, IRD, and other external parties.

Quality Assurance: Review testing documents and monitor the testing status to ensure readiness for market implementation.

3. System Operations & Technical Support Optimisation

Operational Support: Monitor system processes and resume services in case of interruptions. Act as the primary backup for IT operation tasks.

Helpdesk & Administration: Provide first-line support for computer-related issues.

Issue Resolution: Investigate problems reported by users and provide timely follow-up actions and solutions.

Candidate Profile

Experience & Qualifications:

Experience: Prior IT support/infrastructure experience preferred; candidates with relevant background may be considered for Senior Officer.

Education: Prefer Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Entra, Azure and Office 365.

Basic office networking and cybersecurity knowledge.

Familiarity with below will be a plus:

o AWS

o PHP / JavaScript

o Database programming

Skills and Competencies:

High level of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Proven ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities effectively.

Must be fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English (spoken and written).
