Job Title: Event Space Installation Specialist (Project basis)

Reporting Into: Interior Manager / Interior Project Manager

Direct Reports: NA

Location: Middle Hong Kong

Job Objective

Primarily responsible for assembling, modifying and dismantling wood battening frameworks with accessories/fittings i.e. plywood, MDF Board, decking for exterior, interior floor, wall partition, leg clad, staircases, covering equipment, etc., at various projects site. Engagement is on a project basis with average terms of two to three (2 to 3) months.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting Interior/Project Manager for type of material, areas and logistic preparation based on Structure pack drawings and CMJ drawing.
• Access to the work area for hazards and ensure ground conditions are stable.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical diagrams to determine sow requirements.
• Order and inspect materials needed for each project. Ensure quality control and minimize waste.
• Coordinate with site supervisor and other trades for mobilization, installation and dismantle work at site.
• Transport materials (wood materials and fittings etc.) to the designated work site.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plywood, and other materials according to specifications and project requirements.
• Install wood battening framework for interior and exterior walls, Leg clads, stairs/steps, floor infill, slopping floor and Decking.
• Apply finishing fittings like netting, painted plywood to a frame wood surfaces.
• Repair and fix damaged woodwork in tent systems, walkway and staircases.
• Ensure that work adheres to safety regulations and building codes. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Conduct regular inspections during and after installation.
• Work closely with other construction professionals, including contractors, electricians, and plumbers, to complete projects on time and to specifications.

• Familiarity with power and hand tools commonly used in carpentry.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and building codes.
• Ability to handle PPE, tools, equipment and machinery for installation and dismantling works.
• English is essential with a second language an advantage.

Education and Experience

• Proven experience as a carpenter (minimum 5 years).
• Experience with specific carpentry fields (e.g., cabinetry, framing, finishing).
• High School, or Diploma in a related field.
• Construction or Event Industry experience an advantage.
• Spoken English even if not native tongue.
• Experience working at international golf events would be preferable.
