About the position

Southeast Media (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. is seeking a senior financial journalist and program producer. We have a top-notch media production team and channel resources, and we are now seeking an expert with a deep financial background to lead our content depth. This full-time position is located in the eastern part of Hong Kong Island in North Point. You will leverage our strong media infrastructure to lead the company's financial content strategy. Your core mission is to inject a very high professional barrier, combining investigative journalism with high-quality programs, making us the most authoritative financial voice in the market.

Core responsibilities

Independent financial analysis and in-depth reporting: Dissecting company financial statements, macroeconomic policies and capital market fluctuations, and transforming them into in-depth financial news and analysis across platforms (digital, print, broadcast).

Professional content positioning: As the financial knowledge brain of the team, control the professional accuracy and editing direction of all financial programs, and ensure that the content withstands market scrutiny.

Program planning and production: Under the guidance of a professional production team, lead the selection and core logic construction of high-quality financial programs, documentaries and special reports.

Dimensional reduction and communication control: Work closely with the media team to transform highly complex financial logic into multimedia stories that are easy for the public and investors to digest.

Job Requirements

Strong financial professional barriers (core requirements): Have a deep understanding of financial markets, macroeconomics, investment products, and corporate governance.

Professional experience: At least 2 years of real-world experience. Strongly welcome talents with financial institution analysis background and excellent content output ability to cross over; at the same time, professionals with financial reporter or business reporter background are also welcome.

Education background: Priority will be given to candidates with financial, economic, accounting, journalism or related professional degrees.

Writing and expression skills: Excellent Chinese writing and expression skills, able to transform complex financial concepts into easily understandable content for the public without sacrificing professional accuracy.

What you'll be doing

Independent Financial Analysis & Reporting: Independently dissect complex financial statements, macroeconomic shifts, and capital market movements, translating them into deep-dive journalism across digital, print, and broadcast platforms.

Content & Editorial Leadership: Act as the internal subject-matter expert on finance. Dictate the editorial direction for market coverage, ensuring absolute factual accuracy and professional depth in all financial programming.

Program Production: Conceptualize and produce high-caliber financial programs, documentaries, and special reports, supported by our expert production crew.

Expert Interviews: Leverage your industry network to secure and conduct hard-hitting interviews with key financial figures, economists, and market makers.

Multimedia Storytelling: Work closely with our media team to package complex financial logic into compelling, accessible multimedia narratives.

What we're looking for

Deep Financial Acumen (Crucial): Absolute proficiency in analyzing financial markets, corporate governance, equities, and investment products.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of solid practical experience. We highly encourage professionals crossing over from analytical roles within financial institutions (who possess strong content creation skills) to apply. Candidates with a background as a financial or business reporter are also welcome.

Educational Background: A degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Journalism, or a related discipline is preferred.

Communication Mastery: Exceptional writing and communication abilities in Chinese. You must possess the rare skill of simplifying complex financial concepts without losing their technical accuracy.

Journalistic Drive: Excellent research and investigative skills, with the ability to identify insightful and impactful business stories from market data and corporate developments.

Flexibility: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced media environment and maintain flexibility for breaking news or special market coverage outside standard hours.
