ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded accounting professional based in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in MS Excel, with strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills. You bring an entrepreneurial mindset self-driven, adaptable, and confident in a fast-paced international trading environment taking ownership of outcomes while proactively driving accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain a full set of accounts, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with HKFRS and internal reporting timelines.

• Assist in preparation of financial statements, various management reports for senior management.

• Handle Hong Kong profits tax computations and assist with preparation and filing of tax returns with the Inland Revenue Department (IRD), in coordination with tax advisors where required.

• Ensure timely and accurate recording of revenue, expenses, accruals, and provisions on an accrual basis of accounting.

• Support annual statutory audits, including preparation of audit schedules and liaison with external auditors.

• Ensure compliance with Hong Kong company, accounting, and tax regulations and internal control procedures.

• Assist with payroll-related accounting entries and employee reimbursement processing as applicable.

• Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and documentation of accounting procedures.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2+ years of relevant accounting experience in Hong Kong, preferably in corporate or SME environments.

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce (BCom) or equivalent, with a focus on accounting/finance.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel is essential.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
