Position: Bartender

Job Responsibilities:

Tending bar involves a variety of tasks to ensure customers have an enjoyable experience. Key responsibilities include preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes, maintaining cleanliness of the bar area by regularly wiping down surfaces and restocking supplies, interacting with guests in a friendly and professional manner to take orders and recommend drinks, managing cash transactions and handling payments accurately, as well as collaborating with kitchen staff to provide food service when necessary.

Job Requirements:

To succeed as a bartender, candidates should possess strong communication skills for effectively engaging with patrons and coworkers alike. Prior bartending or customer service experience is preferred but not always mandatory if willing to learn on the job. Knowledge of various drink recipes and techniques is advantageous. Physical stamina is essential since the role requires prolonged standing and lifting during busy shifts. Lastly, the ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays is crucial given the nature of the hospitality industry.
