<p>Hong Kong Microelectronics Research and Development Institute (MRDI) is established to seize the huge potential market for third-generation semiconductors and align with the national strategy for technological development.</p><p>The vision is for the MRDI to play a leading role in strengthening collaboration with the industry, academia, and research sectors, expediting the "1 to N" transformation of scientific research outcomes, promoting technological innovation, and assisting the industry in enhancing efficiency as well as achieving upgrading and transformation.</p><p></p><p><strong>WE ARE LOOKING FOR</strong></p><p>We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced <strong>Engineer, Industrial Safety Management </strong>to join our semiconductor fabrication team.</p><p></p><p><strong>MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and implement safety management standards for contractors, conduct on-site audits for contractor entry, provide training, review construction applications, and exercise inspection. Create and enforce guidelines for the safe handling of gas and chemical materials.</li><li>Formulate safety production responsibility systems and promote the implementation of the responsible area management system. Follow up on temporary tasks as directed.</li></ul><p><strong>JOB REQUIREMENT</strong></p><ul><li>A Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering or Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering or Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>At least 5 years of experience in the establishment and operations of the mainstream 8-inch or 12-inch semiconductor fabs or LCD panel manufacturing facilities.</li><li>Relevant experience in contractor safety management, hazardous materials management, and procedures for gas and chemical handling. Relevant experience in contractor safety management, hazardous materials management, and procedures for gas and chemical handling.</li><li>Strong adaptability, learning ability, problem-solving skills, and flexibility for varying work arrangements.</li><li>A good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Putonghua), proficiency in Cantonese is preferred. </li></ul><p>Note: Candidate with more experience will be considered for a senior position.</p><p></p><p>The initial employment contract spans 12 months and can be renewed with a longer tenure upon mutual agreement of the incumbent and MRDI. The incumbent will normally work five days a week. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
