Our company is a Hong Kong professional services firm, with major clients being high-end individuals from the mainland. These clients need to connect with legal, tax, and financial professional resources in Hong Kong, but they are generally unfamiliar with Hong Kong's system, and there are significant differences in regulations, tax and accounting, and business culture between Hong Kong and the mainland.
The core mission of this position is:
1. Serve as "customer trust interpreter and professional bridge", understand the real situation and anxiety of mainland customers in the legal and tax context
2. Assist customers and our Hong Kong professional team (lawyers, accountants, tax advisors) to efficiently connect, ensure that customer needs are accurately transmitted, and professional advice from Hong Kong can be understood and executed by customers
II. DUTIES
2. Communication bridge between Chinese and Hong Kong professional teams · Clearly and legally translate the client's background information (such as asset sources, company structure, legal relationships, and tax records) to our Hong Kong lawyers, tax accountants, etc. professional personnel. · Assist the Hong Kong professional team to understand "Why the customer thinks this way", "What is the legal and tax logic behind this set of practices in the mainland" to avoid misjudgment due to institutional barriers.
3. Assist customers in understanding Hong Kong professional opinions · Interpret the professional solutions proposed by Hong Kong lawyers and tax experts in a language and thinking familiar to mainland customers, and assist customers in making informed decisions. · Highlight the key differences between Hong Kong and the mainland in legal, tax and accounting treatments, and help customers avoid common pitfalls.
5. Internal professional collaboration and knowledge input · Regularly share the latest domestic laws and regulations, tax policies (such as company law amendments, foreign exchange management, Jinshui system, personal income tax law, etc.) with the Hong Kong team to enhance our overall service capability to domestic customers. · Participate in customer meetings, record and organize the domestic background context of customers, and serve as an important reference for the Hong Kong professional team.
Three. Employment requirements (must)
1. Education and professional qualifications · Bachelor's degree or above in Chinese law (Bachelor of Laws, Master of Laws).
2. Work experience
· More than 7 years of relevant work experience in the mainland, including but not limited to:
· Mainland law firm (handling civil and commercial law, company law, tax-related matters)
· Mainland China accounting/taxation firm · In-house legal, compliance, financial or taxation position
· Family offices or wealth management institutions serving high net worth clients
· Have direct experience in dealing with high-end customers (entrepreneurs, executives, professionals), understanding their communication habits and expectations.
3. Professional knowledge (core advantage)
· Proficient in the Chinese domestic legal system, familiar with the Civil Code, Company Law, Foreign Exchange Management, and Investment Supervision, etc. basic framework, able to independently review and understand the core content of domestic legal documents.
· Able to accurately identify the risk points in the client's situation that require attention from Hong Kong professionals (for example: compliance with funding sources, cross-border tax burden, company structure and Hong Kong's connectivity issues).
· It is not necessary to understand Hong Kong law - but you must be able to understand the opinions of Hong Kong professionals and translate them to your clients.
4. Language and communication skills · Fluent in Mandarin (essential) , express yourself naturally and with affinity, and be able to establish deep trust with high-end customers in the mainland.
· Good English or Cantonese (at least reading and writing skills, able to communicate with the Hong Kong team in written and basic oral form).
· Have excellent listening, summarizing and translation skills - be able to explain the client's complex background in a language that professionals can understand, and also be able to translate professional opinions back to the client in a way they can understand.
· Proactive, able to work independently, and good at team collaboration.
