Tai Po / Nursing

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the daily care of the elderly in institutions, including measuring vital signs, injections (such as insulin), medication management and distribution, wound care, health monitoring and recording, etc.;

• Perform nursing documentation tasks such as nursing notes, medication records, shift reports, and facility health records;

• Participate in the evaluation and care plan development for the elderly, and provide comprehensive care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams (such as social workers and physical therapists);

• Support daily operations of care homes, including assisting the elderly with daily activities, dietary care, emotional support and end-of-life care;

• Have nursing professional qualifications, hold a registration or registration qualification from the Hong Kong Nursing Authority (NCHK) (or hold a nursing license from the mainland and meet the transfer/application conditions);

• At least 1 year of clinical nursing work experience, those with experience in geriatrics, long-term care or institutional care are preferred;

• Fluent in Cantonese, able to communicate effectively in Cantonese; those with basic English and Mandarin skills are even better;

• Secondary School (Grade 3) or above, with good reading and writing skills and basic computer operations;

• Strong sense of responsibility, empathy and patience, respect for the autonomy of the elderly, and emphasis on team collaboration and professional ethics;

• Must hold valid Hong Kong permanent residency, or accept a work visa sponsored by your employer;

• Able to adapt to shift arrangements (this position is a fixed day shift: 07:00–19:00, including lunch and meal times), working 6 days a week, and enjoying statutory public holidays and 7 days of annual paid leave under the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance.

• Monthly salary of HKD 20,000–23,000 (depending on experience and qualifications), with a salary range of HKD 18,000–27,000;

• Free accommodation (with 10% of monthly salary deducted for accommodation expenses);

• The initial contract is for 3 years, with excellent performance leading to a possible renewal;

• After continuous employment in Hong Kong for 7 years, those who meet the qualifications may apply for permanent residency in Hong Kong;
