Valuations Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Valuations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance, accountancy, or economics, coupled with proven expertise in business valuation. This role requires a resourceful and self-motivated individual able to navigate multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage valuation projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high-quality deliverables.
• Perform business and financial valuations for a variety of purposes including mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
• Utilize technical tools such as S&P CIQ, Mergermarket, and Bloomberg for market research and analysis to support valuation conclusions.
• Ensure adherence to Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards and IFRS in all valuation activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing valuation insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Mentor and train junior staff on valuation methodologies and best practices.
• Develop and present clear and concise valuation reports and presentations to stakeholders.
• Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes to inform valuation practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Professional qualifications such as CFA, CPA, FMVA, or equivalent will be a distinct advantage.
• A minimum of 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in valuation specifically within an accounting or professional services firm.
• Strong proficiency in financial instrument valuation and a solid grasp of business valuation concepts.
• Highly skilled in research and technical tools like S&P CIQ, Mergermarket, and Bloomberg.
• Advanced competency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with a detail-oriented approach.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral in English and Chinese.
• Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple competing priorities.
