Donghua Third Institution Koo Yik Chau Secondary School, located at 3 Ping Shan Star Road in the Shing Mun area of Yuen Long District, is a full-time government-subsidized coeducational secondary school that has been committed to providing comprehensive secondary education since its establishment in 1995. Initially an industrial secondary school, it underwent transformation into a grammar school in 1997 following the abolition of the industrial secondary school policy by the government. The removal of the 'vocational preparatory' part from the school name in the same year symbolizes a shift in teaching orientation towards general education. Founded by Donghua Third Institution, this is its 14th school, offering classes from Form One to Form Six with the aim of nurturing students for all-round development. The establishment of the school owes much to the generous donation of Mr. Ko Yik Chau's family, hence the naming of the school after his family as a tribute. With the formation of the Corporate Board of Governors in 2006, the school further implemented school-based management, focusing on enhancing educational quality and students' learning experiences.
