Role Overview

Viridian Asset Management is a Hong-Kong based investment manager focused on equity capital markets opportunities (IPOs, placements and block trades, convertible bonds, etc.) across Asia-Pacific. As a Core Developer in the team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining our frontend and backend systems. You will work closely with everyone to build robust, scalable solutions that power our trading platforms and data pipelines. This role demands proficiency in key programming languages and familiarity with cloud and database technologies to support our mission-critical applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain frontend applications to create intuitive and efficient user interfaces.
• Build and optimize backend systems using Java and Python to support trading platforms and data processing pipelines.
• Deploy and manage services on AWS, ensuring high availability and scalability.
• Work with SQL and InfluxDB for efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features and tools.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development processes.

Must-Have Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience: 0-2 years of full-time work experience in software development.
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in TypeScript, Java, Python and SQL.
• Language: Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Basic knowledge of equity markets and financial instruments.
• Familiarity with quantitative development or financial modeling.
• Experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda).
• Understanding of time-series databases or financial data management.
