About the Role:

We are seeking skilled and versatile freelance translators to join our global network. This role involves translating written content across a variety of domains, ensuring that the original meaning, tone, and intent are preserved while making the text sound natural and fluent in the target language. The ideal candidate is a meticulous wordsmith and a cultural bridge-builder.

We are particularly interested in translators for the following language pairs (please specify yours in your application):

Key Responsibilities:

Translate a wide range of documents, which may include marketing materials, technical manuals, legal contracts, website content, software strings, and literary pieces.

Faithfully convey the source text's meaning, style, and tone into the target language.

Proofread and edit translated texts to ensure they are free of errors and read naturally to a native speaker.

Conduct thorough terminological research to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Adapt cultural references, idioms, and humor appropriately for the target audience (transcreation).

Utilize translation memory (TM) and computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools (e.g., Trados, memoQ, Smartcat) as required by the project.

Adhere to project-specific style guides, glossaries, and deadlines.

Communicate effectively with project managers regarding scope, deadlines, and any content ambiguities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Native or near-native fluency in your target language.

Professional working proficiency in your source language.

Proven experience as a professional translator, supported by a portfolio or work samples.

Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills in your native language.

Superior research and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet strict deadlines.

Cultural sensitivity and a deep understanding of the nuances of both the source and target cultures.

Preferred Qualifications:

Specialization in one or more specific fields (e.g., Legal, Medical, Technical, Financial, Marketing, Gaming, IT).

Formal qualification in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.

Certification from a recognized translation institution (e.g., ATA certification for relevant language pairs).

Proficiency in using popular CAT tools and translation management systems.

Experience with localization of software, apps, or multimedia content.
