Job Description
- Provide therapeutic massage treatments tailored to clients and rehabilitation needs, including injury recovery, chronic pain management, and post-surgical support.
- Collaborate with sport therapists, and other healthcare professionals to implement integrated treatment plans and track patient progress.
- Conduct initial client assessments to evaluate range of motion, muscle tension, posture, and functional limitations, documenting findings accurately in electronic health records.
- Educate clients on self-care strategies, corrective exercises, and lifestyle modifications to enhance treatment outcomes and prevent re-injury.
- Maintain strict adherence to hygiene, safety, and infection control protocols while ensuring a professional, compassionate, and confidential client experience.
- Certification or licensure as a Massage Therapist from an accredited institution, with active registration in good standing with the relevant provincial or national regulatory body.
- Minimum of one years of clinical experience, preferably within multidisciplinary rehabilitation or physiotherapy settings.
- Strong foundational knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and pathophysiology, particularly as related to musculoskeletal conditions and neurological rehabilitation.
- Proficiency in evidence-informed manual therapy techniques such as myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, joint mobilization adjuncts, and trigger point therapy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to empathetically engage diverse clients and contribute effectively within interprofessional healthcare teams.
