Job Introduction
We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Visiting Medical Officers (Part-Time Resident Doctors) to join our team at Jockey Club Home For Hospice (JCHH). In this role, you will provide regular patient consultation and high-quality palliative care services to support patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families, delivering professional, respectful and heartfelt medical care in a hospice setting.
Position Details

Core Duties and Responsibilities
Provide ad-hoc medical consultations for in-house patients as required
Offer timely on-call medical support and respond to urgent patient needs
Deliver specialist palliative care services to relieve physical and emotional distress
Manage patient symptoms effectively to improve quality of life
Provide professional guidance and counselling on Advance Care Planning (ACP)
Maintain accurate, complete and up-to-date medical records in line with regulatory standards
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to deliver holistic patient care
Job Requirements
Must hold avalid medical registrationin Hong Kong, in compliance with local medical regulatory requirements
Experience in palliative care, hospice care or related fields is highly preferable
Compassionate, patient-centred mindset with excellent communication skills
Able to work independently and handle clinical emergencies calmly and professionally
Employment Terms
Service Commitment:Minimum 2 working hours per shift / section

Company Overview
The Haven Society (SPHC), a non-profit organization based in Hong Kong, was founded on July 1, 1986 by Gabriel O'Mahoney, Dr. Hsieh Chien-Chuan, Dr. Yu Rong-Guang, Pastor Li Ding-Hsing, and John Russell, among others. Since its inception, the Society has been dedicated to promoting high-quality hospice and palliative care services in Hong Kong. In addition to providing hospital care, home care, and day services, the Society also covers bereavement counseling, professional training, and public education activities, with the aim of educating the public to face death and end-of-life care, and to convey the important message of cherishing life. The Haven Society established Hong Kong's first independent hospice care center, the White Memorial Hospice Center, in 1992, and formally established the Tan Yee Shih and Du Pei-Chen Home for the Dying in 1997. In 2017, the Society launched the Jockey Club Haven Home with great fanfare, with the support of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Jockey Club Charities Trust.
SPHC, a non-profit organization based in Hong Kong, has been dedicated since its establishment on July 1, 1986 by Gabriel O'Mahoney, Dr. Shek Kin Chuen, Dr. Yu Wing Kwong, Rev. Li Dingxin, and John Russell among others, to promoting the development of high-quality palliative care services in Hong Kong. Beyond hospital services, home care, and day services, SPHC also encompasses bereavement counseling, professional training, and public education activities aimed at educating the public about death and end-of-life care, conveying messages of valuing life. In 1992, SPHC established Hong Kong's first independent palliative service center, the White Paper Palliative Care Center. It officially launched the Tanya Tsui Duk Ping Chan Home Service Center in 1997, and in 2017, it introduced the SPHC House with significant support from the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust.
