Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Management, Business Administration, Gemology, or similar.

Certification from Diamond Institutes/Associations (e.g., GIA, IGI, HRD, FGA) is a MUST– with specialisation in coloured diamonds is a MUST.

Minimum 5 years experience in fancy colour diamonds, with at least 3 years in a Managerial Sales Role and International Exposure(studying, working, or managing clients/suppliers from overseas) is a MUST.

Proven experience in driving high-volume salesof fancy colour diamonds, including assorting, quality checking, and valuation to meet client specifications.

Coordinating with overseas suppliers and clientsin India, Thailand, Indonesia, Belgium, South Africa, Australia (Argyle), or Brazil.

Excellent customer service skills and ability to build relationshipswhile guiding clients toward their ideal fancy colour diamond piece, including education on colour grading (hue, tone, saturation) and rarity factors.

Strong knowledge of proprietary Pear Modified Brilliant Cut fancy colour diamonds, including how colour intensity affects pricing and desirability, to drive sales conversations.

Overall responsibility for company sales revenueby driving volume turnover of fancy colour diamonds, managing key accounts, and converting leads into high-value sales.

Manage and deepen account relationships with global buyers, retailers, and jewellery brandsfor fancy colour diamonds.

Responsible for merchandising lines(e.g., pink, blue, yellow, orange, green, champagne, cognac diamonds) and identifying sales growth opportunities per colour category.

Management and development of sales team, including hiring and training on fancy colour diamond grading, pricing, and high-volume inventory selling techniques.

Review and analyze selling reportsto recognize and maximize sales opportunities by colour, clarity, shape, and volume throughput.

Plan annual sales projectionswith expansion and diversification across fancy colour diamond categories.

Assess competitive threatsand plan countermeasures in the fancy colour diamond sales space, including pricing wars or exclusivity deals.

Assess market gapsfor under-supplied colours or sizes in high-volume fancy colour diamonds and convert these into sales initiatives.

Plan new product introduction(e.g., fancy colour diamond jewellery lines, pair sets, gradient collections, or calibrated melee packs) in collaboration with merchandising teams.

Continuously coordinate with internal purchasing and suppliersto align sales demand with supply, ensuring consistent high-volume availability for client orders.

Grading, Sorting, and Quality Assurance– work alongside QA teams to verify fancy colour diamonds (rose cut, melee, Polki, diamond beads & briolette, rustic, antique cut, finished jewellery) before client delivery.

Devise procedures to inspect and report quality issuesfrom a sales perspective, especially regarding colour authenticity, treatment detection, and consistency across large lots, to prevent client returns.

Monitor all operations that affect quality– from rough sorting through polished fancy colour diamonds – and provide sales feedback to operations.
