Job Description
Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide professional occupational therapy evaluation and intervention services to the elderly, focusing on cognitive function, daily living activities (ADL), instrumental activities of daily living (IADL), and sensory-motor integration, etc. for individualized training.
- Design and implement appropriate reactivation activities and environmental modifications to enhance the safety of the elderly at home, their ability to live independently, and their social participation.
- Guide caregivers to master basic assistance skills and care strategies, strengthen family support systems, and delay the progression of functional decline.
- Record complete treatment progress and effectiveness, write professional reports regularly, and meet the quality management and funding unit monitoring requirements of the organization.
Requirements:
- Registered with the Hong Kong Occupational Therapy Council, with a valid license to practice.
- Have at least three years of practical work experience in related fields such as nursing homes, community senior centers, day care centers or hospital geriatrics.
- Familiar with the functional rehabilitation principles and practical applications of common diseases in the elderly (such as cognitive impairment, stroke, Parkinson's disease, arthritis and frailty syndrome).
- Have good communication skills and empathy, and be able to explain treatment goals and methods to the elderly and their families in a clear and understandable way.
- Able to independently plan treatment processes, flexibly respond to case changes, and demonstrate a high sense of responsibility and professional ethical awareness.
- Need a physical examination report and a sexual conviction check
