Director of Packaging (MNC)

Leads the strategy, design, and end-to-end execution of packaging solutions to ensure they are cost-effective, sustainable, and aligned with brand and regulatory goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy & Innovation: Develop long-term packaging roadmaps focused on sustainability, cost transformation, and cutting-edge materials science (e.g., recyclability, biomaterials).

• Project Oversight: Manage the full lifecycle of packaging development—from concept creation, prototyping, and testing to large-scale commercialization.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Quality teams to match design aesthetics with operational realities.

• Vendor & Supply Chain Management: Build and maintain strategic relationships with external suppliers, contract manufacturers, and packaging vendors.

• Ensure all packaging meets industry safety regulations, labeling laws, and environmental compliance standards. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of packaging engineers, developers, and designers.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 8–12+ years in packaging development, materials engineering, or supply chain, with several years in a leadership role.

• Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, barrier science, and structural design.

• Sustainability Knowledge: Familiarity with circular packaging systems, waste reduction, and eco-friendly regulatory standards.

• Leadership & Communication: Strong project management, budgeting, and storytelling skills to influence cross-functional and executive stakeholders.

Monthly Salary: Negotiable

Minimum Work Experience: 8-12 years

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree
