Job Summary

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Packing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the final stages of the production lifecycle. This role ensures that all packaging components are accurately assembled into finished products through strategic capacity planning, assembly line optimization, and the effective management of frontline workers to meet output and quality targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production & Assembly Management

• Direct daily operations of the assembly and packing lines, supervising the complete integration of components into finished goods.

• Monitor production workflows to ensure all product specifications and packaging requirements align with technical standards.

• Troubleshoot technical issues or workflow bottlenecks on the line to minimize downtime and maximize throughput.

2. Capacity Planning & Component Management

• Develop and execute capacity plans based on production forecasts to optimize labor and equipment utilization.

• Work closely with the sales team to ensure on-time order delivery.

• Manage the flow of packaging components (e.g., containers, inserts, labels, outer cartons) to prevent material shortages or excessive inventory.

• Coordinate with Warehouse and Procurement teams to ensure all necessary components are staged and ready for scheduled production runs.

3. Team Leadership & Supervision

• Directly supervise, train, and mentor a team of assembly line workers.

• Manage staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and workload distribution.

• Foster a positive work environment focused on productivity, collaboration, and accountability.

4. Quality Control & Workplace Safety

• Implement and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all packing and assembly tasks.

• Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure finished product integrity and labeling accuracy.

• Maintain the work area according to 5S organizational standards and strictly adhere to occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations.

Job Requirements

• Education: Form 5 or above graduate.

• Experience: 1-3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, assembly, or logistics packaging environments.

• Technical Skills: Proven expertise in capacity planning, assembly line balancing, and managing Bills of Materials (BOM).

• Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse frontline workforce.

• Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and resolve operational or staffing issues in a fast-paced environment.

• Languages: Good command of Cantonese, English and Mandarin.

• Systems: Familiarity with ERP software or production monitoring tools is highly preferred.
