Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Radiography recognized by the Hong Kong Radiographers Board.

• Registration: Valid registration with the Hong Kong Radiographers Board.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of MRI scanning experience in a clinical setting.

• Language Proficiency: Strong command of English and Cantonese; knowledge of Mandarin is an advantage.

• Skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient care skills.

Job Title: MRI Radiologic Technologist (Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist)

Job Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process, and accurately obtain the diagnostic images needed based on clinical requirements.

• Based on the examination site and clinical signs, flexibly adjust the patient's position, coil selection and scanning parameters (such as TR/TE, FOV, slice thickness, matrix, etc.), in order to achieve the best image contrast, resolution and signal-to-noise ratio.

• Daily execution of MRI equipment routine checks (including magnetic field stability, cooling system, RF shielding efficiency and emergency stop function), immediate recording of abnormal conditions and reporting to the engineering team to ensure safe and stable device operation.

• Collaborate closely with radiology specialists, participate in the establishment, optimization and update of scanning protocols, support special sequence development and clinical research projects.

• Completely fill out and maintain the electronic medical record system's examination records, covering patient basic information, examination type, technical parameters, abnormal findings, and operator signature, to ensure continuous and compliant medical care.

• Strictly abide by the Hong Kong Radiation Material Ordinance, hospital infection control policies and MRI safety rules (including Zone IV management, ferromagnetic item control, and emergency response procedures), and implement radiation protection and hospital infection prevention measures.

Work requirements

• Holding a Bachelor's degree in Radiology or Medical Imaging recognized by the Hong Kong Radiographers' Association.

• Have been officially registered by the Hong Kong Radiological Technologists Association and maintain valid professional qualifications.

• Proficient in Cantonese and English, able to communicate, write reports and participate in cross-departmental collaboration in both languages; those with Mandarin skills are given priority.

• Have excellent patient communication skills, empathy, and on-the-spot problem-solving abilities, and be able to maintain professional judgment and detailed service under pressure.

• Value teamwork, be proactive in coordinating and collaborating with radiologists, nurses and other medical technicians to improve diagnostic quality and service efficiency.

• Must be a permanent resident of Hong Kong, meet the local medical institution employee qualifications and work visa related regulations.

• Working hours are from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm, and you need to cooperate with department shifts and temporary reinforcement arrangements.
