Job Description

You’ll play a critical payroll team lead role in HR SSC to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with local regulations and company policies. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver a seamless payroll experience in a global leading MNC giant.

Payroll Preparation & Validation: Oversee the entire payroll lifecycle, collect and verify monthly payroll inputs (e.g., new hires, terminations) and enter or correct local payroll data in systems, including mass uploads across Mainland China and other North Asia markets.

Pre- and Post-Payroll Activities: Support validation steps with internal and external stakeholders, integrate post-payroll corrections, and prepare local declarations (social, fiscal, taxes, etc.).

Taxation Management: Monthly tax filings, providing expert tax consultation, and managing inquiries and administration related to special additional deductions.

Exception Management: Handle underpayments, overpayments, severance to ensure timely resolution.

Year-End Reconciliation: Collaborate with Rewards team to reconcile year-end payroll and

prepare for the new payroll year.

Employee Support: Partner with internal teams to address Tier 2 employee questions as needed.

Compliance & Continuous Improvement: Maintain audit-proof records, ensure compliance with payroll-related controls, and contribute to process optimization initiatives.

Team Management: Directly manage and mentor a team of 8 payroll professionals to ensure operational excellence, and cultivating a collaborative and supportive environment.

Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships with external payroll providers, ensuring efficient and accurate payroll processing and adherence to service level agreements.

We Are Looking For

Have experience in payroll preparation and administration with MNC background, with a strong attention to detail.

• Are proficient in payroll systems and tools, with the ability to manage data uploads and

corrections.

• Possess excellent problem-solving skills to manage exceptions and ensure compliance.

• Are a collaborative team player, comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders.

• Stay updated on local labor laws and tax regulations, ensuring adherence at all times.

• Possessing solid experience with Global Payroll Providers, demonstrating a deep understanding of multi-country payroll complexities and vendor management at an international scale.
