Job Description

Position: Power BI Developer

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document business requirements; produce comprehensive requirement documents aligned with users』 latest feedback and evolving needs.
Design and implement robust data integration solutions using Azure and Databricks; perform end-to-end source-to-target mapping for key datasets including staff quarters, staff information, and occupancy records.
Develop and maintain well-structured, scalable data schemas that support analytical use cases and ensure data consistency, traceability, and governance.
Build, test, deploy, and monitor production-grade data pipelines—including ETL/ELT workflows—and configure reliable job scheduling mechanisms in Azure and Databricks environments.
Design, develop, and deploy interactive, enterprise-grade Power BI reports and dashboards focused on strategic HR and facility management KPIs, including:

Key Drivers of Satisfaction: estate management effectiveness, safety performance, and proximity to campus facilities;
Communication & Respect: analysis of staff perceptions regarding fairness of treatment and clarity/effectiveness of management communication;
Complaint Resolution: metrics on complaint volume, categorization, resolution time, and successful closure rates;
Quarter Utilization Insights: correlation analysis between staff quarter occupancy patterns, individual/team performance indicators, and retention trends.

Deliver intuitive, responsive, and accessible user interfaces in Power BI—prioritizing usability, visual clarity, drill-down capability, and role-based interactivity to empower data-driven decision-making across departments.
Iteratively enhance reports based on user feedback, incorporate additional metrics or visualizations as requested, and ensure alignment with evolving business objectives.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field; relevant professional certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Azure Data Engineer) are highly preferred.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining Power BI solutions—including data modeling, DAX scripting, report design, dashboard publishing, and performance optimization.
Proven expertise in cloud-based data platforms—especially Microsoft Azure (Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Azure Blob Storage) and Databricks (Delta Lake, Spark SQL, notebook-based pipeline development).
Strong understanding of data integration principles, dimensional modeling, and best practices for building scalable, documented, and maintainable data pipelines.
Experience translating complex business questions into analytical logic and actionable visualizations; ability to work directly with non-technical stakeholders to elicit, validate, and refine requirements.
Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) for collaborative development and deployment workflows.
Excellent communication skills in English; ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple deliverables in an agile, iterative environment.
