Requirements:

• A Diploma or equivalent;

• At least 3 years working experience in archives/museums, including at least 1 year experience in archive/museum collection management system; and

• At least 3 years of experience in Machine‑Readable Cataloguing (MARC);

• Knowledge in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Access;

• Proficiency in Chinese and English data entry; and

• Be able to read and write Chinese and English and fluent in Cantonese.

Responsibilities:

• To create and/or amend bibliographic records on our museum collection management system (MCMS) according to the Anglo‑American Cataloguing Rules Second Edition (AACR2) with Machine‑Readable Cataloguing (MARC) format and create holding records for the items;

• To view the content of the objects to locate the authority list whenever applicable;

• To link the object records to the bibliographic records in MCMS;

• To link the object records to the authority records such as film, person, organization, etc. in MCMS;

• To create public access request in MCMS;

• To publish public access request in MCMS to internet;

• To check and confirm the information published on internet are in order via the Public Search module of MCMS;

• To provide hands‑on support in archival arrangement and processing of film‑related materials;

• To provide other administrative support to the Resource Centre; and

• To perform any other duties as assigned.
