Introduction The Hong Kong Chinese Amusement Association, with a long history, was born in a turbulent era and grew up with Hong Kong. Early stages of the founding In the fall of 1910, Sir Ho began to establish the Chinese Recreation Association. Initially, there were only 40 permanent members, 60 ordinary members, 41 students' association and a few honorary members. Early members were all enthusiastic about sports such as woodball, tennis and football, but due to the lack of a permanent clubhouse, the Association's affairs remained stagnant. In the spring of 1912, Sir Robert Ho, Sir William Po-Sang, Mr. Nguyen Hsiao-Fan and Mr. Wang Bo-Ning, among others, jointly applied to the Hong Kong government for a plot of land to be used for the construction of a Chinese amusement club. The authorities immediately allocated a piece of auspicious land in Tai Keng Village for Sir Robert Ho and his associates to establish this club. Sir Robert Ho and his associates cleared this piece of wilderness and turned it into a lawn, and built a two-story clubhouse next to it. The Chinese Amusement Club was officially established in March 1912 and was inaugurated by Sir Reginald Laurie, the then Governor of Hong Kong. Post-war reunion work In 1941, the Pacific War broke out and spread to Hong Kong. Fortunately, with the assistance of the chairman of our association, General Hsu Tsung-tzu, and our staff, our association was able to be completely preserved during the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong. After the war, the club was reopened, and General Hsu Tsung-chi succeeded the chairman, leading the various value managers to actively resume club activities. In 1945, bonds were issued to repair the club, rebuild and renovate it Equipment is constantly being updated In the following decades, under the active promotion of successive value management committees, the club underwent multiple construction, renovation and refurbishment projects. The club's facilities have also been continuously innovated and improved, and has now developed into a large club with various recreational and sports facilities. To meet the needs of different-aged club members, the club actively adds various facilities, striving to achieve diversified facilities.
