Key Responsibilities
● Lead the South China commercial team to achieve and exceed annual sales targets for medical devices, IVD kits/reagents, consumables, and accessories.
● Develop and implement regional sales plans, including market analysis, pricing strategies, tender participation, and hospital penetration in priority departments (surgery/OR, CSSD, wound care units, diagnostics labs, etc.).
● Manage and optimize distributor/agent channels: recruit, train, monitor performance, enforce compliance, improve inventory/logistics efficiency, and establish clear KPI-based incentive mechanisms.
● Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers (hospital directors, department heads, procurement, KOLs in surgery, infection control, diagnostics, oncology, etc.) to promote products, secure lighthouse/reference sites, and drive adoption.
● Drive product promotion through academic activities: organize seminars, workshops, clinical case studies, training programs, and collaborations with medical associations to position MomentumLabs solutions as preferred choices.
● Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, marketing, regulatory, supply chain) to launch new products, gather market feedback, and adapt strategies to evolving healthcare needs in Greater China.
● Monitor competitive landscape, identify growth opportunities (e.g., new hospital projects, emerging diagnostic needs), and ensure sustainable, compliant business expansion.
● Report on sales performance, pipeline, market share, and forecasts to senior leadership.
Requirements
● 15+ years of progressive experience in medical device/biotech/pharmaceutical sales and management in China, with proven leadership in regional/general manager roles (ideally South China focus).
● Strong track record in hospital-channel medtech sales, especially in infection control/sterilization/disinfection, wound management, infusion systems, cardiovascular devices, or diagnostics/IVD — direct experience with products like low-temperature plasma sterilizers, OPA/high-level disinfectants, negative pressure wound therapy, hydro debridement, infusion pumps, or molecular diagnostics is highly preferred.
● Demonstrated success in leading teams, building distributor networks, optimizing processes (inventory, logistics, training), and achieving exceptional results (e.g., top national rankings, hall of fame awards, lighthouse hospital wins like provincial/affiliated major hospitals).
● Deep understanding of hospital procurement/tender processes, academic promotion, and clinical department dynamics in China (surgery, supply room, burn/plastic/orthopedics, cardiology, labs).
● Bachelor's or higher in clinical medicine or related field; English proficiency (CET-4 or equivalent).
● Results-oriented with strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, team motivation ("wolf culture"), and ability to thrive in fast-growing biotech environments.
