Qualification Requirements

1.A qualification recognized by the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS)

2.Completed a 2-year graduate training scheme recognized by the HKIS or equivalent.

Knowledge of and possession of experience in Geographic Information System (GIS) and application development will be advantageous.

DUTES

(1) To assist the Land Surveyor (LS) of Highways Department (HyD) in general management

of projects relating to the development and implementation of the Bunting Application

System, and provide maintenance support after the system implementation.

2) To assist LS in reviewing the position data of lighting equipment and sign gantries, which involves conducting field surveys, validating the as-built survey records, attending coordinate

meetings and refining the position data of the internal systems of HyD;

3) To assist LS in conducting GIS spatial review on the existing lamppost/road light dataset for establishing a standardized lantern naming convention system.

4) To assist the Lighting Division in preparing the revamp of HyD’s Public Lighting Information System.
