Role Overview

We are seeking an Associate to join our dynamic and fast-growing team in Hong Kong. This role is well suited for a motivated, detail-oriented professional, offering accelerated professional development, significant responsibility, and a clear path for rapid advancement within a growing and highly selective firm. Associates work closely with senior team members on investigative due diligence, corporate investigations, and business intelligence assignments for leading financial institutions, law firms, and multinational corporations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct sophisticated primary and secondary research in Chinese and English using public records, commercial databases, media sources, and open-source intelligence

• Analyze, verify, and synthesize complex financial, legal, and regulatory information across multiple sources

• Draft clear, objective, and well-structured written reports for client delivery

• Manage multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

• Collaborate effectively with team members across projects and jurisdictions

• Take ownership of assignments from initiation through completion, with increasing responsibility over time

Required Qualifications

• Complete professional fluency in writing and reading in Chinese and English, with the ability to understand and explain complex concepts accurately in both languages

• Strong online research skills and ability to assess source credibility

• Excellent analytical and writing abilities, with strong attention to detail

• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team setting

• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines

• Openness to feedback and a demonstrated willingness to learn quickly

Preferred Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree, preferably in social sciences, journalism, translation, or a related field

• 1–2 years of relevant professional experience, including internships

• Interest in current affairs, international business, financial regulation, and geopolitics

• Proficiency in additional Asian languages (e.g. Japanese, Korean, Bahasa, etc.) is an advantage
