<p>We are seeking an entrepreneurial and hands-on Head of Operations to join our Hong Kong–based single-PM global equity long/short hedge fund at an early and formative stage. This role is designed for an operations professional who is motivated by building, owning, and scaling a hedge fund platform from the ground up, rather than operating within a large, pre-built organization.</p><p></p><p>Working closely with the CIO, the Head of Operations will take end-to-end ownership of the firm’s operational infrastructure, covering trading operations, fund administration oversight, prime broker and vendor onboarding, compliance support, treasury, and internal processes. Trade Operations and Middle Office Oversight</strong></p><p>• Manage the full trade lifecycle for global equities and listed derivatives</p><p>• Oversee middle office activities performed by external service providers</p><p>• Ensure accurate trade capture, allocation, confirmation, and settlement</p><p>• Monitor reconciliations, corporate actions, trade breaks, and settlement issues</p><p>• Liaise with prime brokers, custodians, and execution brokers</p><p></p><p><strong>2. Fund Accounting and NAV Oversight</strong></p><p>• Work closely with the fund administrator on daily and monthly NAV production</p><p>• Review valuations, performance fees, expense accruals, and investor allocations</p><p>• Validate NAV packages and capital statements</p><p>• Coordinate annual audits and manage external auditor communication</p><p></p><p><strong>3. Prime Broker and Vendor Onboarding</strong></p><p>• Lead onboarding and due diligence for prime brokers, custodians, and executing brokers</p><p>• Manage onboarding of operational, compliance, technology, and data vendors</p><p>• Define operational workflows, reporting standards, and SLAs</p><p>• Maintain counterparty documentation, KYC records, and ongoing due diligence</p><p></p><p><strong>4. Investor Operations</strong></p><p>• Oversee subscription and redemption processing</p><p>• Manage investor onboarding, KYC, FATCA, and CRS</p><p>• Coordinate investor reporting with the fund administrator</p><p>• Handle operational investor inquiries in coordination with the CIO</p><p></p><p><strong>5. Treasury, Cash and Expense Management</strong></p><p>• Monitor cash balances, collateral, and funding across accounts</p><p>• Manage capital movements, liquidity, and FX exposures</p><p>• Oversee fund and management company expenses, invoices, and budgeting support</p><p></p><p><strong>6. Compliance and Regulatory Support</strong></p><p>• Support operational aspects of SFC Type 4 & 9 obligations</p><p>• Work with compliance consultants on monitoring, filings, and record keeping</p><p>• Maintain operational policies, procedures, and internal controls</p><p>• Assist with regulatory inquiries and incident reporting</p><p></p><p><strong>7. Technology and Systems Management</strong></p><p>• Act as internal owner of OMS/PMS/EMS platforms</p><p>• Maintain system configuration, data integrity, and workflows</p><p>• Manage broker connectivity, trade feeds, and integration testing</p><p>• Coordinate IT and vendor-related matters in a lean environment</p><p></p><p><strong>8. Operational Build-out and Process Improvement</strong></p><p>• Strengthen operational workflows, controls, and documentation</p><p>• Identify and implement automation and efficiency improvements</p><p>• Support new initiatives and enhancements with the CIO</p><p>• Assume increasing responsibility over time with a path toward COO</p><p></p><p><strong>9. HR, Administration and Management</strong></p><p>• Oversee HR administration, onboarding, and offboarding</p><p>• Coordinate with outsourced payroll, HR, and administrative vendors</p><p>• Maintain company policies, employee documentation, and handbooks</p><p>• Manage office administration, budgeting, and vendor relationships</p><p>• Provide oversight for future operations or compliance hires</p>
