Key Responsibilities:
• Own end-to-end batch scheduling and execution for core banking systems (day-end, month-end, quarter-end, year-end runs) — primarily on Control-M
• Provide 24×7 monitoring of batch jobs; handle alerts, stalled jobs, and dependency failures to meet SLA
• Partner with application, DBA, and infrastructure teams to analyze batch dependencies, optimize scheduling windows, and refactor job flows
• Perform day-to-day Control-M administration: job definitions, calendars, frequencies, events, conditions, GENERAL.APPL, smart folders
• Participate in incident response, change deployment, version upgrades, and DR drills
• Author operational SOPs and runbooks; produce regular batch execution reports and improvement recommendations
Must-Have:
• Hong Kong Permanent Resident (PR / HK Permanent ID)
• 3+ years of hands-on Control-M operations or development (v8 or v9); able to independently configure Job, Job Flow, and Smart Folder
• Solid understanding of banking batch run processes, including job dependencies, SLA windows, and cut-off concepts
• Able to read JCL and understand Mainframe job execution mechanics is a plus
• Fluent Cantonese communication; working English reading and writing
Nice-to-Have:
• Hands-on experience with Mainframe TWS; able to operate in dual-scheduler (Control-M + TWS) environments
• Operations experience on any of: z/OS, DB2, CICS
• Familiarity with Control-M Server / Enterprise Manager / Agent architecture
• Background in banking core systems (deposits, loans, clearing, risk, regulatory reporting) batch operations
• Prior BCP / DR drill experience
